Its formula is said to be of herbs and a “butter oil” which is likely ghee. It moisturizes around the eye. The founder of the company, Hakim Mohammad Hashim, is the one who developed the Surma (Kohl), a unique blend of herbs, which the company claims had – and still has – amazing curative and therapeutic properties for eyes. The formula became a well-known brand in the Middle East and Asia.

Twist the cap, but please be careful taking the cap off or putting it on because it may break like a lot of kajal. Once opened, there is a tall stick of kajal revealed. It may seem like it’s dry, but once you apply it to your eyes you will be amazed at the dark color. The creator touts this product doesn’t smudge and should last at least six hours. You can even tight line your eyes with this kajal. If you want to smudge it, do so immediately after applying. It’s a great buy because of the use, the company has been in existence for 200 years (and you can’t say that about a lot of cosmetic companies).
